“In the Blink of an Eye”
A recollection of Sheila’s journey with her husband, Grant, through Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS) – from diagnosis to death. It is a presentation about love, commitment, and the humanness of living with a terminal illness. It is a touching personal story about the joy and pain we endure through our relationships, anticipatory grief, and care-giving issues. It illustrates that, in the end, love can win. This presentation gives the audience inspiration, hope, and honest, heartfelt insight into the life of a young couple coming to terms with a terminal illness and death. She uses this presentation to promote her forthcoming book by the same title.

“Confessions of a Grieving Young Widow”
A thought-provoking look into the plight of a grieving young widow, this presentation tells about Sheila’s experience of grief and the rebuilding process. She uses a contrast of lightness and dark humor to convey the depths of the“grief pit”. She shares about the raw humanness of the emotions she felt and the often-questionable actions she took as she found her way through this tragedy. She gives the audience a brutally honest glimpse into one woman’s life after the death of a terminally ill spouse. Doctored with a dose of humor and the mystical for good measure, Sheila’s talk provides a renewed sense of hope for those left behind. She uses this presentation as a stepping-stone introduction to her grief wellness coaching programs and retreats.
